Suggest How Your New Distributor Can Start At Once

The specifics vary from program to program, but some of the things marketing people tell new distributors to do are

1. Make a list of all the people you know.
2. Decide how many hours you want to devote to contacting people.
5. Set up your goals for the week, indicating how many individuals you plan to contact and how many people you expect to sell and sponsor.
4. Allot a certain number of hours for reading about the program and for reading motivational and instructional literature.
5. Start at once!

Connect Your Distributor with Your Local Network

Let your new distributor know where any opportunity meetings are being held. Also provide the names and numbers of key contacts in the area, including your group leader or upline sponsor, because they can provide additional support if the distributor wants this or at least promote a feeling that there is this extra support available. Generally, if you are there providing the support your distributor needs, he or she won't need to go to someone above you, beyond perhaps just saying hello to feel connected to a large unit. Also, your upline distributor can't spend a great deal of quality time with everyone under his or her other distributors, so check on how much actual hands-on assistance he or she can offer. In general, this kind of connecting will be more like making introductions to the boss in a big organization; to help the person feel a part of the larger whole. And then mainly you as the immediate sponsor will work directly with that person.

Offer to put on some meetings for your distributors. Invite them to call you at any time to ask questions and get advice. Let them know you are only too glad to help. And then when they call, be ready to respond to keep them excited and motivated in return.
