PREPAID LEGAL SERVICES MEMBER LETTERS

Dear Pre-Paid Legal,

I recently brought to conclusion a legal matter which had been drawn out over the past one and a half years of my life. To finish this process with my sanity would not have been possible without the assistance provided by your organization. To be honest, I was quite skeptical when I signed up for my membership with Pre-paid Legal, as my experiences with lawyers over the lifetime of this matter had been awful.
• They were never in the office when I needed them to answer a question.
• They didn't return my calls in a timely fashion.

• When they finally did get around to calling back, they charged me for leaving a message if I wasn't available.
• I was even charged for 10 minutes of their hourly rate just to receive my check for payment of these services!

By the time I came across Pre-Paid Legal, I was no longer able to afford a lawyer, and was acting as my own lawyer before the court out of sheer financial desperation, a risky proposition at best. When my company offered Pre-Paid Legal Services as a benefit, I joined as the price was right. However, I had low-almost no-expectations given my experiences.

What I found was an absolute Godsend. I was given a case number when I made my first call to the Pre-Paid Legal firm in my area. Whenever I called in, I provided the case number and a lawyer was available on the spot to take my call and answer my questions. I found a lawyer I really liked and from then on I asked for him by name, and he handled my case through conclusion. Unlike the lawyers I had dealt with until this point, he was usually in and received my call. If he was not available, I left a message and he called back, usually within an hour, at most within a day.

He answered my questions, all of them. He raised and worked through issues I had not even considered. He even offered to bring in colleagues who had specialized expertise, if the case took a direction which required them. I couldn't believe it! I asked him how long he had been practicing law. The answer: 22 years. This was no kid fresh out of law school. It certainly showed in the case. He knew more about certain legal aspects of the case than all of the other lawyers involved. Now, I knew more, too.

His assistance gave me the confidence to take control of the situation and bring it to a quick, satisfactory conclusion, much to my surprise (and the other side's lawyers, I'm sure - they never knew I had Pre-Paid Legal in my back pocket!)

I can't thank Pre-Paid Legal enough for providing this quality of service, for far less than the thousands of dollars I had spent on lawyers beforehand. Although I am not a litigious person by nature, I plan to stay a member of Pre-Paid Legal, as one can never know when life's circumstances might draw them into the legal system. Thanks for being there in my time of need.
